The conflict between Ukraine and Russia seems to worsen with each passing day. Sanctions and other measures have been put in place for the country of Russia, creating an infallible amount of different reactions. People in Ukraine are fleeing their homes out of fear of the explosions, raids, and bombs throughout their city. Some civilians, who have never been military trained, have decided to fight for their country and are handed weapons to fight off Russian invaders.

France has been attentively watching the crisis, but citizens and businesses can no longer sit and watch. Many French have taken a stand by going to protests, volunteering, donating, and offering their services to help those in need.

How we can help

To take part in supporting Ukraine, EasyStart has decided to offer its services for free to Ukrainian-speaking individuals and families who seek refuge in France. Our relocation agents are advising refugees and volunteers on the necessary procedures to legally seek asylum in France and help the displaced find housing. Although we aren't NGOs, we found it our duty as relocation agents to use our skills and knowledge to help those in need in times of crisis. Other French advisors and businesses have taken a humanitarian step as well. We do live in the country of liberty, equality, and fraternity, n'est-ce pas?

Donating Initiative

Apart from our services, EasyStart has also taken another initiative but on a donative approach. On March 6, 2022, we will be holding an all-day Instagram live stream with woodworking designer, Julien, of Five Cuts Design in association with Médecin Sans Frontières. Julien will be creating one of his signature flags (typically the French one). During the live event, he will carve a beautiful and uniquely designed UKRAINIAN flag made out of the finest French woods. Viewers will also have the possibility to access a Leetchi link, found on EasyStart and Five Cuts Design Instagram bio, in which the funds raised will be entirely transferred to the NGO, Médecins Sans Frontières — Special Ukraine fund, to support the civilian casualties in Ukraine. The single most generous donation will receive this beautiful wooden carved flag as a reward.

This all-day live stream will be an opportunity to witness the step-by-step work of an artisanal, real wood craftsman whilst doing the right thing by supporting and donating to help the Ukrainians affected by the conflict. In this artistic and educative live event, Julien will showcase the multiple techniques and facets of ancestral wood craftsmanship so that you can be inspired and do the same at home. Whilst watching the live progress of the carving, we will also be hosting multiple speakers on topics ranging from the importance of expression in art during a crisis, to the current unbiased happenings on the ground in Ukraine.
